⁍ Finland plans to reintroduce a recommendation to work from home whenever possible just days after dropping it.
⁍ 29 new cases had been recorded over 24 hours, raising the seven-day total to 98 from 52 in the previous seven days.
⁍ The recommendation in favour of remote working had ended at the end of July.
– Finland dropped its recommendation that people work from home whenever possible in July, but now it’s back. The country’s minister of social affairs and health tweeted Wednesday that “the rise in infections gives reason to consider continuing remote working … where it is possible,” per Reuters. The move comes amid a rise in infections, with 98 cases in seven days, up from 52 in the previous seven days. The number of infections peaked in March and April with 7,512 cases and 331 deaths.
