⁍ WarnerMedia’s Bob Greenblatt and Kevin Reilly, executives who oversaw its HBO Max streaming business, will leave as part of a restructuring.
⁍ This is the first major action taken by Chief Executive Officer Jason Kilar, a former Amazon.com executive.
⁍ WarnerMedia also said on Friday it would cut jobs, without disclosing the number of employees impacted.
– Two top WarnerMedia execs who ran the company’s HBO streaming service, HBO Max, are leaving as part of a restructuring, Reuters reports. “We are elevating HBO Max in the organization and expanding its scope globally,” says new WarnerMedia CEO Jason Kilar, a former Amazon exec who built Hulu. “Bob Greenblatt and Kevin Reilly will depart as part of a restructuring.” Greenblatt and Reilly, who oversaw the HBO Max service, will be replaced by Andy Forssell, general manager of HBO Max.
