– Serena Williams says she’s “a little bit of a recluse” now that she’s back on the court after being sidelined by a blood clot in her lungs. “I don’t have full lung so I’m not sure what would happen to me. I’m sure I would be OK but I don’t want to find out,” the 38-year-old tennis star, who has a history of clots and pulmonary embolisms, said in a video call from Kentucky, where she’s competing in next week’s Top Seed Open, per USA Today. “I have like 50 masks that I travel with … I’m super super careful with what I’ve been doing and everyone’s really protected if it happens to me,” she said. “Because at the end of the day it’s cool my life but this happens every time I’m doing my life so I’ve been an extent every time I’ve competed an extent so I’m not sure what would happen to me. I don’t have full lung so I’m not sure what would happen to me. I don’t have full lung so I’m not sure what would happen to me. I’m sure I would be OK but I don’t want to find out.” Williams, who won the Australian Open in January for her 23rd Grand Slam title, has committed to playing in the French Open, which starts in August.
