⁍ A gas explosion ripped through a Baltimore neighborhood on Monday, killing at least one person, injuring four and trapping children.


⁍ Fire officials described it as a natural gas explosion but said the exact cause was under investigation.


⁍ The blast destroyed three brick row homes and ripped open the wall of another, spreading debris throughout the neighborhood.


– One person is dead and at least four others injured after a gas explosion leveled three homes in Baltimore’s Sandtown-Winchester neighborhood today, Reuters reports. According to the Baltimore Sun, at least five people were trapped in the rubble, some of them children. One neighbor says he could hear children’s cries. “Come get us! We’re stuck!” he says. Rescuers were working through the rubble using their hands and tools, Reuters reports.
