– Iraq on Tuesday summoned the Turkish ambassador to protest a Turkish drone strike that killed two members of Iraq’s border guard near the Turkish and Iranian borders, Reuters reports. Iraq’s foreign ministry said in a statement that it also canceled the visit of Turkey’s defense minister scheduled for Thursday. The ministry also summoned the Turkish ambassador to hand him “a strong protest note and inform him of Iraq’s confirmed rejection of his country’s attacks and violations.”
