– Former Godfather’s Pizza CEO and GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain has died at the age of 74 after a long battle with the coronavirus, his website announced Thursday. Cain had been diagnosed with the virus in June and spent most of July in an Atlanta-area hospital, Reuters reports. “Herman had an incredible career and was adored by everyone that ever met him, especially me,” President Trump tweeted. “He was a very special man, an American Patriot, and great friend.” Cain refused to wear face masks at a Trump rally in Tulsa, Okla., in early July, saying people were “fed up” with the government’s “one size fits all” approach to preventing the spread of the virus. He said at the time that he would not wear a mask at a Trump event at Mount Rushmore on July 4. “Masks will not be mandatory for the event, which will be attended by President Trump. PEOPLE ARE FED UP!” he tweeted.
