⁍ United Launch Alliance and SpaceX receive $653 million in combined military launch contracts.


⁍ The contracts are for launch service orders starting in fiscal year 2020 through 2024.


⁍ The United States Space Force’s Space and Missile Systems Center will order launch services annually from ULA and SpaceX.


– Elon Musk’s SpaceX has scored a big deal with the Pentagon. The company has been awarded $653 million in new contracts to provide military launches, reports Reuters. The contracts with the Pentagon’s Space Force call for SpaceX to provide up to 40% of launches and United Launch Alliance to provide up to 60%. The first missions are expected to take place in 2022.
