⁍ Ford announced a new SUV this week, the 2021 Ford Bronco.
⁍ Excitement and hype for the new Bronco is tangible; a ‘stampede of reservations’ crashed the Ford website within hours of reservations opening.
⁍ Ford’s next big hurdle will be to not screw up the Bronco’s launch like it did the Explorer, its last SUV launch.

– The all-new 2021 Ford Bronco is here, and it’s drawing comparisons to the original model that went on sale in 1986. The two-door, four-door, and small SUV Sport versions of the vehicle, which Business Insider calls “a rare bright spot in a news cycle dominated largely by horror and woe,” will be offered in three body styles: two-door, four-door, and small SUV Sport. The two-door and four-door Sport versions will have doors and roof panels that come off, interior interiors that can be easily hosed-out after an afternoon of play, and trunk-mounted bottle openers. The all-new Bronco is Ford’s first major foray into the SUV market since the Explorer’s disastrous launch in 2016. The Explorer was Ford’s second-best-selling SUV in 2018, but sales fell 11.3% and 26.1% in the fourth quarter of that year. The all-new Bronco, which Business Insider calls “a rare bright spot in a news cycle dominated largely by horror and woe,” will have doors and roof panels that come off, interior interiors that can be easily hosed-out after an afternoon of play, and trunk-mounted bottle openers.
