– The Houston Dash and Chicago Red Stars will play for the National Women’s Soccer League Challenge Cup title on Sunday—a month after the NWSL returned from its month-long hiatus due to the Ebola outbreak, Reuters reports. “It was really hard to have this tournament be short,” says NWSL Commissioner Lisa Baird. “Four weeks is not a lot of time to win over not only avid soccer fans but casual fans. I think we accomplished that. We’re getting to that second level of casual fan—that’s what we need to do to be successful.” The Dash and Red Stars will play at a single site in suburban Salt Lake City, Utah, without fans. “No one had done this, going into this, not us, the NBA, the NHL, and the MLS,” Baird says. “We will be doing so.”
